The holiday season is upon us, which means there will parties, potlucks, and lots of celebrating! I love throwing little cocktail parties and tasty snacks as well as season-themed drinks. Through them, I’ve earned the title of Vegan Martha Stewart, and I’ve introduced omnivores to really tasty plant-based food that they might not have otherwise tried.
If you’re planning a party, a few of these recipes will definitely please the crowd. I like to make a few finger foods, one or two dips, and a couple of different drinks. The snacks can be made ahead of time and served once your guests arrive. If you’re attending a potluck, the finger foods are perfectly delicious contributions.
I’ll be making a few of these for a cookie swap that I’m hosting next week, and I’m already trying to decide which of these to make for the Christmas potluck I’m attending in December!
Vegan Holiday Snacks and Drinks
Vegan Cheese and Apple Tarts – Made with store-bought puff pastry, these tarts are easy to make, but they make a big impression with guests.
Spinach Artichoke Dip Bites – These little bites are also made with puff pastry, and they’re a great way to serve everyone’s favorite party dip!
Buffalo Cauliflower Bites – It’s just not a party without buffalo cauliflower!
Tomato Tartlets with Spinach Pesto – Filled with cashew ricotta, these little tarts will definitely impress your party guests.
Stuffed Mushrooms – These vegan ‘shrooms are a mainstay on my holiday menu, and they’re also a perfect canapé for parties. I could eat an entire plate of them on my own, as a meal!
Chili Roasted Pumpkin Nachos – Pumpkin season isn’t over yet! Nachos are always fun at parties, and these pumpkin nachos with herbed cashew cheese are always a big hit. Totally Loaded Vegan Chili Cheese Nachos are a great option, too.
Leek and Wild Mushroom Stuffed Potato Skins from Peace & Parsnips by Lee Watson – These potato skins could be a meal, but they’re also a great appetizer. You can use baby potatoes for parties, if you like.
Five Layer Dip – This dip is super simple to make, and my friends go nuts for it!
Garlicky White Bean Dip – Garlic, white beans, and tahini blend together perfectly to create this creamy snack in this recipe.
Roasted Garlic Hummus – this silky smooth dip takes a little bit of time to make, but believe me, it’s worth it.
No Bean Hummus – Hummus is usually made with chickpeas, but this no bean hummus is made with zucchini in order to sneak a few more veggies into your diet.
Fresh Tomato Salsa – I like to use cherry or grape tomatoes in this fresh tomato salsa, as find them more flavorful than the large varieties.
Avocado Salsa Verde – This Avocado Salsa Verde (or Guaca-Verde-Mole, as I like to call it) is a delicious salsa verde-guacamole hybrid made with tomatillos, avocados, and jalapeño peppers.
Avocado Chocolate Mousse – Serve this mousse in small ramekins or little spoons for a fun bite-sized dessert.
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Truffle Mini Tarts – Satisfy your sweet tooth in just a few bites with these little treats.
Chocolate-Almond Date Truffles – These treats are super easy to make, and they’re healthy, too!
Mini Vegan Key Lime Cheesecakes – Their small size makes these little cheesecakes perfect for gatherings. They’re great for Christmas or New Year’s Eve festivities.
Christmas Cosmos – Cranberries add a festive flair to this cocktail.
Candy Cane Martinis – Garnished with peppermints or candy canes, this is a fun cocktail for holidays parties.
Mulled Wine – Toast the season with a mug of hot Mulled Wine!
Mulled Cider – If you prefer a warm alcoholic drink, opt for cider instead of wine.
Orange Ginger Sparkling Ice Tea – This the perfect drink for those who don’t imbibe.
What are you serving up this holiday season?
