Vegan Hollandaise Sauce

Pour this easy-to-make vegan Hollandaise Sauce over roasted veggies at dinner time, a tofu scramble during breakfast, or any meal that could use a little bit of saucy goodness.

This recipe makes a little more than a cup of sauce.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup raw cashews, soaked in water for 2 hours, drained, and rinsed
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
  • tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • Pinch black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all of the ingredients together in a food processor or high-speed blender until smooth and creamy. If it’s too thick, add a little more water, a tablespoon at a time.
  2. Heat the sauce in a small sauce pan to warm it up. If it gets too thick, add a little more water, a tablespoon at a time.
