    Vegan Comfort Food Cravings

With the cooler temperatures of fall comes cravings for comfort food. Warm and cheesy dishes always comfort me, and as soon as I notice a chill in air I find myself with a hankering for lasagna or baked ziti. Broccoli with cheese sauce was always a favorite dish for me as child, and the healthy, vegan version is one that I make often in the fall. And what could be more cozy than a bowl of macaroni and cheese?

That's not to say that I only eat dairy-free cheese-based dishes in autumn. Lentil loaf was on the first vegetarian meals I learned to make, and it's a fall favorite in my house, along with bowls of beany chilly, and hearty shepherd's pie.

To make cooking cure cravings easier on myself – and easier for you, too! – I've put together a list of some of my favorite vegan comfort food recipes for cooler weather.
